Tapping into Chile's "English Opens Doors" Program

The Chilean Ministry of Education began its English Opens Doors program in 2003 to improve and foster the teaching and learning of English in Chile. A few weeks ago, the Ministry launched a new, innovative initiative to improve the early training of future EFL teachers. It involves government-funded scholarships and tuition-waiver agreements between 24 participating Chilean universities and their foreign partners in English-speaking countries.
