Evolving Services at usjournal.com
  

As U.S. campus websites get more sophisticated, usjournal.com's services are evolving as well. Here are two examples that have percolated lately:

Option to De-Activate Automated Responses: Each usjournal.com campaign features an option to customize Automated Responses to students who request information about each advertiser's particular academic programs. Current advertisers now have the option to de-activate that capability. Please e-mail Cheryl if you would like to disable your Automated Responses.

Option to Link Externally: In the beginning, we strongly resisted any links leading outside of our domains, for fear of losing track-ability (as we do not clandestinely capture personal information that the student does not volunteer on our inquiry forms). Students who click through from us to .edu domains will not show up on our advertiser's Monthly Excel Reports, because they obviously won't complete our form.

After ten years of proving ourselves as a valuable promotional venue, we still don't feel completely comfortable with External Links. However, we realize that navigating out of our site may be more logical and convenient for students. Advertisers have also evolved with more sophisticated tracking mechanisms on their end. Current advertisers may contact Cheryl to analyze the pros and cons of External Links.
