Many professional organizations like AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology), ACEHSA (Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education), ACS (American Chemical Society), ACREP (Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Programs), LAAB (Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board), NAAB (National Architectural Accrediting Board ), NCATE (National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education) and others have also granted accreditation to our individual colleges and schools.

The Business School: Succeeding in business today requires exceptional skills and talent. Through a close partnership with the business community, the Business School is constantly refining its programs to meet the needs of tomorrow's management leaders. The Business School, accredited by the AACSB, focuses on creating an experience that balances the knowledge of business with the value of real world experience. The School's entire educational approach is designed with the needs of business professionals in mind.

The College of Engineering and Applied Science: Continuing an 80-year tradition, the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences provides nationally accredited engineering education. The college offers degree programs in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science and engineering. Practicing engineers can improve and update professional capabilities as well as earn graduate degrees. Engineers also can obtain graduate education in management, computer science, behavioral science and in other areas together with new engineering skills in their field, through the special interdisciplinary Master of Science in Environmental Science.

University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center, Colorado The College of Architecture and Planning: The College prepares students for careers in architecture, planning, landscape architecture and urban design. The College offers the only graduate and undergraduate education in these fields in the state of Colorado, and is the largest such school of its kind in the western region. The College's graduate programs in architecture and urban design are taught at UCDHSC Downtown Denver Campus, with undergraduate programs offered at the CU-Boulder campus. A multidisciplinary Ph.D. in Design and Planning is offered through courses on both campuses.

The College of Arts and Media: The College of Arts and Media offers undergraduate majors in visual and multimedia arts; theatre, film and video production; and music and entertainment industry studies. The College also offers a master's degree in recording arts. The College takes advantage of the unique opportunities that a growing Denver market presents as it develops into a global hub for telecommunications, cultural tourism, sports and recreation, and all aspects of the entertainment industry.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences: As the the largest individual unit at UCDHSC, Downtown Denver Campus, the College provides students of all ages a broad foundation in some of the most basic, yet complex areas of human existence. Students in the College gain a deep understanding of, and appreciation for, logic, expression, relationships, nature, society, interpretation, problem solving, critical thinking, and the aesthetic beauty of the world around them.

The School of Education: The School of Education has earned a reputation for providing the best graduate education programs in the state of Colorado. With a diverse array of program offerings, from certificates, to continuing education, to master's and doctoral degrees, the School of Education utilizes numerous partnerships to provide the most relevant and contemporary program of study available anywhere.

The Graduate School of Public Affairs: GSPA is the only school in Colorado authorized to offer graduate professional degrees in public administration, public affairs, and criminal justice. Nationally ranked in excellence, it offers programs on the Denver and Colorado Springs campuses of the University of Colorado, and to Western Slope students in Grand Junction, Colorado.

The Office of International Education provides orientation and special services to support the needs of international students during the application process and while living and learning in the Denver environment. Approximately 750 international students are at UCDHSC Downtown Denver Campus representing more than 100 different countries. More than 60 clubs and organizations add interest to student life and help students network with fellow colleagues.

All international students whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate English Language Proficiency. UCDHSC accepts both TOEFL and IELTS to demonstrate English Language Proficiency.

International students also need to show proof of adequate funds / financial support to attend. Qualifying students can apply for scholarships within their academic departments depending on availability once they arrive on campus. Please be advised that these awards cannot be guaranteed to any student.
