Harvard Summer School

A challenging, rewarding, and exciting Ivy League college experience
awaits you at the Harvard University Summer School. You will have access
to a distinguished faculty, well-equipped labs, and exceptional museums,
as well as the largest university library system in the world. You will
live and learn with motivated students of many ages from all areas of
the United States and more than 90 countries around the world as you satisfy
your intellectual curiosity, earn college credit, and explore Harvard
University. As a visiting student, you will be offered open admission
to most Harvard Summer School programs.
During the Harvard
Summer School session, America's oldest and most prestigious
university offers several hundred day and evening liberal arts courses,
including writing, economics, computer science, visual arts, Ukrainian
studies, and 14 foreign languages. A complete premedical curriculum,
a selective college-level program for secondary school students who
completed their junior or senior year, and English programs for non-native
speakers also are available. The Harvard
Summer School sponsors films
and concerts, an extensive athletics program, and performance opportunities
with the Summer School Chorus, Orchestra, and Pops Band.
Historic Cambridge, Massachusetts, located on the Charles River, is the ultimate college town, with many bookstores, restaurants, coffeehouses, teahouses, and music stores. Downtown Boston, just four subway stops away, boasts gourmet restaurants, museums, theaters, and dance clubs. You can visit historic New England villages and enjoy New England's beautiful mountains, lakes, and sandy ocean beaches. Or you can relax amidst the green lawns and towering trees of Harvard Yard that provide the ideal spot for summertime study, reflection, and diversion from the bustle of Harvard Square.
