Intensive English Program

This program is designed to help students, visitors, and recent immigrants improve their English skills for academic study, career advancement, or personal enrichment. The curriculum integrates grammar, writing, reading, speaking, and listening. Cultural and social activities provide additional real-life opportunities to use English skills actively.

  • Four levels, from Beginner to Advanced
  • Students from more than 30 countries
  • Experienced and professional faculty, with Master's Degrees
  • Undergraduate and Graduate credit courses open to students at the advanced level
  • Conditional admission to Pace Undergraduate degree programs for qualified students
  • Fall and Spring, 7- and 14-week terms
  • Three-week January Term, and two six-week Summer Terms

Pre-Graduate / Pre-MBA Program

Many international students want to pursue advanced degrees in the U.S., but are concerned about their English proficiency and the cultural differences that they will face in this country. To excel in an American graduate school requires that you possess a special set of skills, including English proficiency.   • Develop academic language for writing and speaking
  • Increase your level of computer skills for word processing
  • Earn Pace University credit (for qualified students), which can be used at Pace or for transfer
  • Take advantage of academic advisement and counseling
  • Complete the Pre-Undergraduate Program as a substitute for TOEFL at Pace
