Riverside Community College (RCC) is located in Southern California, an hour's drive east of Los Angeles. The College, which has three campuses, enrolls approximately 32,000 people. As part of the California Community College system, RCC offers the first two years of a four-year education. Students prepare to transfer to four-year universities for the final two years of study toward a Baccalaureate degree.
Academics at Riverside Community College: The Center for International Students at Riverside Community College provides assistance in selecting courses that will be accepted for transfer to California State University and University of California campuses, as well as to private colleges and universities throughout the United States.

More than 2,000 classes are offered each semester in more than 60 majors. In addition to courses that prepare for transfer, the College offers courses leading to the Associate degree, which is awarded after two years (or 60 units) of study. Courses in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Pre-Engineering, English, and Office Administration are popular with international students. Certificate programs in many occupational fields are also available.
Student Life at Riverside Community College: With more than 300 young people from sixty countries attending each semester, international students are warmly welcome on campus. RCC's Center for International Students and Programs assists students in becoming acquainted with American college life, meeting other students and faculty on campus, touring Riverside and Southern California points of interest, and receiving academic tutoring when needed.
Varsity sports and intramural activities are varied. The International Club is only one of many active clubs on campus. RCC has an Olympic-size pool, tennis courts and other recreational facilities. Theater, film and musical performances are also offered on campus.
Location: Southern California: The city of Riverside is a traditional Southern California community. Museums, a symphony orchestra, and theater companies add to the cultural life of the region. More than twenty-five colleges and universities, including University of California, California State University, and Loma Linda University are located within 30 miles of Riverside.
Riverside is an ideal location from which to enjoy Southern California's attractions. Newport and Laguna Beach, the San Bernardino Mountains, the Palm Springs desert resort region, and Disneyland are also within an hour's drive. Weather is mild, with a Mediterranean climate.
